Today, for the first time I successfully attended a NCUC meeting using the Elluminate software. Previous attempts have failed as, on both Vista boxes I tried it on, I was just send around in circles back to install java – and the help page was a 404. The java browser plug-in would not respond to the .jnlp file – instead it asked me what external program to use – I tried everything in the java folder. After googling up some more spurious support from Elluminate, I eventually hit on it – windows/system32/javaws.exe

Once I was up I have to say it’s not a bad system, but the documentation on getting it going is awful!!
