Today Thursday October 2 2014 the Marconi Society will presnt its annual symposium and awards event in Washington DC. The Marconi Society 40th Anniversary Symposium has the theme “Internet 2025”. In the morning two panels, split by a keynote from FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, will consider how technology can and will revolutionize wireless spectrum usage. After lunch the sustenance of the Open Internet topic will be tackled. Speakers include 2014 Marconi Prize Winner Arogyaswami Paulraj of Stanford University, and Marconi Fellows Vint Cerf, Marty Cooper, John Cioffi, Robert Kahn, Leonard Kleinrock, and Robert Lucky. The event will be webcast live on the Internet Society livestream channel.
