NYC VotesOn  June 4 2014 at New York Law School the NYC Campaign Finance Board and partners including BetaNYC presented Open Source Democracy – practical demonstrations of new approaches to voting and elections from around the United States. NYC Votes, Democracy Works, and the Open Source Election Technology (OSET) Foundation demonstrated their work and case studies of implementations. This was followed by a panel, speakers: Art Chang, Chair, New York City Voter Assistance Advisory Committee; Greg Miller, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer, OSET Foundation; Seth Flaxman, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Democracy Works; Michael Ryan, Executive Director, NYC Board of Elections; Doug Kellner, Co-Chair, New York State Board of Elections; and Amy Loprest, Executive Director, NYC Campaign Finance Board.
