MEETUP: IGF-USA on the Road in NYC – URBAN COMMUNITY NETWORKS – PRACTICE & POLICY

 

On Tuesday May 22 2018, the IGF-USA on the Road caravan arrives in NYC at URBAN COMMUNITY NETWORKS – PRACTICE & POLICY – an afternoon get-together hosted by the Internet Society New York Chapter (ISOC-NY) and the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA) at Brooklyn Law School. This half-day conference is intended to serve as a summit for those involved in building community networks in NYC, and an opportunity to formulate the appropriate policy advocacy positions to advance this work. Speakers include Jane Coffin – Director, Development Strategy, Internet Society, Clayton Banks, Co-founder, Silicon Harlem, Greta Byrum, Co-Director, Digital Equity Laboratory, The New School, Melissa Sassi, Senior Project Manager – USA, Microsoft Airband, Zach Giles, NYC Mesh, & Bruce Kushnick, New Networks Institute. The event will be webcast live on the Internet Society Livestream Channel.
