INET San FranciscoOn October 2 2013 the Internet Society San Francisco Bay Area Chapter and CNET hosted INET San Francisco – a live discussion on the complex implications of Government Internet surveillance.

INET San Francisco comprised two components: first, a discussion featuring two experts on public policy and cyber surveillance. Alexander Abdo, a staff attorney with the National Security Program for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Nate Cardozo, Staff Attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s (EFF) digital civil liberties team.; second, a panel took audience questions and discussed the relative merits of each speaker’s proposed approach. Panelists: Susan Freiwald, Professor, University of San Francisco Law School , Matthew Sundquist, Former Facebook Privacy Team Member and Co-founder of Plot.ly, Declan McCullagh (moderator), Chief Political Correspondent, CNET, and Paul Brigner, North America Regional Bureau Director, Internet Society.  The event was webcast live on the Internet Society livestream channel.
