ISOC-NY is the New York Metropolitan Area Chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC).

ISOC's mission is to promote the open development, evolution, and use of the Internet for the benefit of all people throughout the world.
You can be a part of that by joining now! Individual 'Global' membership is free. See https://www.internetsociety.org/become-a-member/
ISOC-NY does not charge a fee. Voluntary contributions are welcome and are tax-deductible.

How to join ISOC-NY
1. Join the Internet Society (global) by filling out the application form.
2. You will be given a choice of joining a chapter - select United States New York Chapter.
3. Your application will be processed within a few days, and you will then will receive an email confirmation..
Mailing Lists
Once joined you may occasionally receive email notices from global ISOC.
You will also be subscribed to the ISOC-NY ANNOUNCE list. An unsubscribe link is at the bottom of every message.
ISOC Global hosts two mailing lists, 'Global Update' (announce only) and 'Internet Policy' (discussion). Once you are logged in as a member you can go to profile/preferences/email_consent to update your subscriptions.
ISOC Connect - a global forum (both online and by email) for members hosts many communities of interest.
