Audio: Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee privacy briefing

Audio is now available of yesterday’s (June 17, 2010) Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee (ICAC) briefing on consumer privacy.

Background:

Last month, Congressmen Rick Boucher and Cliff Stearns, respectively Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet, released a discussion draft of legislation “to assure the privacy of information about individuals both on the Internet and offline.” This is the most significant movement in over half a decade to craft privacy rules for consumers in the digital age.
