ISOC-NY is the New York Metropolitan Area Chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC).

How to join ISOC-NY
1. Join the Internet Society (global) by filling out the application form.
2. You will be given a choice of joining a chapter - select United States New York Chapter.
3. Your application will be processed within a few days, and you will then will receive an email confirmation..
Mailing Lists
Once joined you will occasionally receive notices from global ISOC.
You will also be subscribed to the ISOC-NY ANNOUNCE list. Be warned, unsubscribing from this may terminate your Chapter membership!
ISOC Global hosts two mailing lists, 'Global Update' (announce only) and 'Internet Policy' (discussion). Once you are logged in as a member you can go to profile/preferences/email_consent to update your subscriptions.
ISOC Connect - a global forum (both online and by email) for members hosts many communities of interest.
