LivestreamToday Thursday April 27 2017 at 10am EDT The Platforms for Advanced Wireless Research (PAWR) presents PAWR Proposer’s Day in Washington DC. The PAWR program is a joint effort by the National Science Foundation and a a wireless Industry Consortium to create city-scale testing platforms to accelerate fundamental research on wireless communication and networking technologies. The PAWR Project Office (PPO), run by US Ignite, Inc., and Northeastern University, is managing this $100 million public-private partnership to stand-up and oversee these eventual testing platforms. Today’s event includes details such as: PAWR RFP, requirements, and timeline; Technical focus areas for the emerging solutions that PAWR seeks to support; Research goals for advanced wireless use cases; PPO’s role and organization during project selection and project execution, and more. The event will be webcast live on the Internet Society Livestream Channel.
