From political efforts to outlaw government surveillance, to active citizen-surveillance of repressive actors, to viral exposés of corruption, tech and the Internet – and the increased transparency they bring – have changed the game. Leading activists will discuss the state of play. Speakers: Naomi Wolf, Author; Shahid Buttar, Director of Bill of Rights Defense Committee; Mike German, fellow with the Brennan Center for Justice. The event will be webcast live via the Internet Society Livestream Channel.
