speakoutOn Monday October 27 2014, at 5pm Free Press, Common Cause, Consumers Union, Daily Kos, Demand Progress and the Media Action Grassroots Network are holding New York Speaks: A Hearing on Our Rights to Connect and Communicate at the Brooklyn Public Library. The aim – “to save Net Neutrality and stop Comcast from taking over the Internet“. Speakers include Rep. Jerrold Nadler, former FCC Commissioner Michael Copps, Mariana Ruiz of Presente.org, and Free Press President and CEO Craig Aaron. The event has two parts – at 5pm a cultural speakout featuring artists on the plaza, and at 6pm public hearing inside the Dweck Center.
