Internet Governance 2020Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (EST) the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Washington DC Chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC-DC) will host a panel discussion – Internet Governance 2020- Geopolitics and the Future of the Internet in Washington DC. First there will be keynote remarks from Ambassador Daniel A. Sepulveda – Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and U.S. Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy. The panel comprises Richard Beaird – Senior International Policy Advisor, Wiley Rein; Laura DeNardis – Associate Professor in the School of Communication, American University; Veni Markovski – Vice President for Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe, ICANN; Michael Nelson – Principal Technology Policy Strategist, Microsoft; and Sally Wentworth – Senior Director, Strategic Public Policy, The Internet Society. Moderators are James Lewis – Director and Senior Fellow, Technology and Public Policy Program, CSIS; and David Vyorst – Co-Founder, Relay Station Digital Strategies. The event will be webcast live via the Internet Society livestream channel.
