Today, Wednesday January 22 2020, at 6pm EST (23:00 UTC), ISOC.LIVE will webcast Converting care.com into a cooperative, the first in a series of 14 guest lectures in the Who Owns the World course at the New School in NYC. This course aims to introduce students at The New School, and members of the public, to the cooperative digital economy as a global movement. In today’s lecture Prof. Trebor Scholz will examine what it might take to convert a successful gig economy business, such as care.com, into a platform coop. This webcast is made possible via a partnership between the Internet Society New York Chapter (ISOC-NY) and the Institute for the Cooperative Digital Economy (ICDE).
